Use case

The Need

The client is an enterprise SaaS solution provider with a global base of B2B clients.

They wanted to transform their business processes with modern productivity tools, remote access technologies, SSO, and mobile device management.

The client had a legacy ADFS infrastructure that lacked the support for integrating modern tools and SSO. Due to the complicated setup, it was hard to audit existing security policies and implement new ones. Also, implementing mobile device management and enabling remote access seemed quite challenging with the legacy infrastructure.

Aokumo migrated the client's on-premise ADFS infrastructure to the Azure cloud and built the integration capabilities for using third-party tools.

The Challenges

Due to legacy ADFS infrastructure, integrating third-party business tools was challenging.

On the existing infrastructure, page load time was high so optimizing speed without any change in the website on the application level was very important.

Legacy active directory using default configurations posed a variety of security risks. And pulling client security patch reports was challenging for auditors.

Building client PC took longer with slow deployment and scalability issues, which negatively impacted employee experience.

Aokumo's Solutions

Aokumo assessed the entire infrastructure, understood objectives, and identified challenges to create a migration roadmap.

We prepared asset inventory, designed data strategy, and outlined a detailed Azure migration roadmap covering all bottlenecks and single points of failure.

We migrated on-premise ADFS architecture to the Azure cloud and completed the migration without any business disruption.

We implemented Application Gateway, Private IP, TLS, and WAF, among other security solutions, with automated backups to build security, encryption, and resiliency.
